Manufacturing Engineering Project Lead – EFA FAL & Prototypes

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Project Lead to join the Combat ME Team in Getafe, Madrid. The role focuses on driving process industrialisation, technology innovation, and shop‑floor support for Eurofighter Typhoon Final Assembly Line (EFA FAL) and prototype development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Business Operations & Strategy (BO&S) processes, including subcontracting, planning, CAPEX, risk management, and act as Export Control focal point.
• Drive process industrialisation, change management, configuration control, and alignment with ME standards.
• Provide shop‑floor sustaining, resolve manufacturing issues, and capture feedback through Kaizen and Practical Problem Solving.
• Assess, develop, and integrate innovative manufacturing technologies to meet future business needs.
• Create and maintain technical documentation such as Work Orders, Technical Instructions, and Job Cards.
• Collaborate with multi‑functional teams to solve complex technical problems and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2‑5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process industrialisation, and planning.
• Strong organisational, communication and teamwork skills; ability to work under pressure.
• Negotiation‑level proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and public holidays when required.
