Numerical Control Programmer – Manufacturing Engineering

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Numerical Control Programmer to join its Manufacturing Engineering team in Getafe, Madrid. The role bridges product design and shop‑floor execution, ensuring metallic and CFRP structures are produced efficiently, on schedule, and at optimal cost.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with design teams early to guarantee manufacturability and cost‑effectiveness of aerospace structures.
• Define manufacturing flows for composite and metallic parts, identify Added Value Processes, and create routes and manufacturing orders in SAP.
• Develop advanced machining processes, including clamping, cutting speeds, tool selection, and jigs, and produce CNC programs for both metal and CFRP components.
• Author and manage technical documentation and Industrial ITs using Windchill, interpreting norms in English and Spanish.
• Provide on‑site technical support to plant operators, coordinating planning and execution within budget.
• Prepare technical specifications for external suppliers and launch work orders for subcontractors.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, CNC programming, and machining of metallic and CFRP parts.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish for interpreting complex technical documents.
