Senior AI Engineer

About the role

Prosper AI is building conversational AI agents that automate high‑volume healthcare administrative tasks. As a Senior AI Engineer you will work in the Barcelona office, designing and scaling low‑latency speech and LLM pipelines that power real‑time voice agents.

Key responsibilities

• Design and scale the platform’s low‑latency speech/LLM pipelines, orchestration layers and reliability systems.
• Develop and maintain the FastAPI‑based Python backend, PostgreSQL databases, and React/TypeScript frontend components.
• Manage large‑scale distributed systems and asynchronous workload orchestration to support thousands of daily phone calls.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of end‑to‑end product development experience, from architecture to production deployment.
• Strong understanding of FastAPI, Python, PostgreSQL, React and TypeScript, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience with large‑scale distributed systems and asynchronous orchestration.
• Familiarity with LLMs, AI agents or other ML models (Pipecat experience is a plus).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics or related field.
