Senior Armament Systems & Weapon Integration Engineer

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid) is seeking a Senior Armament Systems & Weapon Integration Engineer to lead the end‑to‑end development and integration of armament and weapon/store systems on aerial platforms. You will ensure performance, safety and regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of armament systems from concept through retirement, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Perform trade‑off and performance analyses, validate architectures and optimise system solutions.
• Define architectures for Armament Control, Stores Management and Weapon Bay/Carriage systems in collaboration with suppliers.
• Develop Interface Control Documents, conduct impact analyses and lead technical integration of weapons and stores.
• Prepare and assess safety and technical documentation, and develop test benches and qualification plans.
• Ensure airworthiness compliance and generate certification documentation.
• Act as primary technical liaison for suppliers and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft systems integration.
• Strong adaptability and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
