Senior Cloud Engineer & Site Reliability Engineer – Remote (Spain)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer & Site Reliability Engineer to lead our AWS‑based cloud operations. The role is fully remote within Spain and involves ensuring platform reliability, driving automation, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead advanced monitoring, incident management and root‑cause analysis, implementing long‑term corrective actions.
• Design, implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and GitHub Actions.
• Manage and optimise AWS infrastructure (Secure Landing Zones, Organizations, SCPs, Direct Connect) for high availability, scalability and security.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines and automate reliable infrastructure and platform deployments.
• Operate and evolve Kubernetes/EKS environments, ensuring stability and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with Application Owners, Secure Landing Zone engineering and support teams to meet operational goals.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
• Participate in on‑call rotation with one week per month of availability.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in Cloud Operations and Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with AWS services, Secure Landing Zones, Organizations, SCPs and Direct Connect.
• Extensive production experience with Kubernetes and EKS.
• Proven background in CI/CD, automation and DevOps practices.
• Excellent English communication (minimum B2, C1 preferred) and ability to work independently while leading initiatives.
