Senior Designer – Second-in-Command

About the role

The Blue Pearl is seeking an experienced Senior Designer to act as the right‑hand to the Lead Designer on a high‑profile residential development in Ibiza. You will help shape the architectural and interior design vision from concept through delivery, while ensuring the project stays on brand and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Act as second‑in‑command to the Lead Designer, stepping in when required and representing the design team internally and externally.
• Mentor and coordinate a multidisciplinary design team (architecture, interiors, technical) and manage day‑to‑day activities.
• Develop and maintain the project’s BIM environment, ensuring model integrity, version control and clash‑free coordination.
• Produce and review design documentation across all RIBA/Spanish project stages – concept, planning, technical, construction.
• Coordinate with external consultants (structural, MEP, landscape, lighting) to align deliverables with project standards.
• Track design timelines, deliverables and quality, flagging risks early to the Lead.
• Apply AI tools to accelerate concept generation, visualisation, documentation and review workflows.
• Support presentations to stakeholders, investors and regulatory authorities in English and Spanish.
• Ensure compliance with Spanish and EU building regulations, CTE and local Ibiza/Balearic planning requirements.
• Guard Blue Pearl’s visual identity by reviewing social media, presentations, brochures, renders and website visuals.

Required profile

• Proven creative ability combined with strong leadership, organisational and presentation skills.
• Confidence to act as a trusted point of contact for development, construction and commercial teams.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, able to communicate persuasively with diverse stakeholders.
