Senior Platform Software Engineer – Developer Platform

About the role

Join Preply’s Platform Tribe to design, build, and operate the core developer platform that powers millions of learners and tutors. You will focus on CI/CD, developer productivity, and AI‑native development, shaping the tools engineers use daily.

Key responsibilities

• Build and operate CI/CD systems, testing capabilities and paved paths that enable engineers to ship quickly and safely.
• Own the end‑to‑end developer journey from code authoring through testing and deployment.
• Develop internal platforms, services and tooling to improve developer experience and reduce friction.
• Leverage AI and agentic workflows to enhance the software development lifecycle and implement quality gates.
• Participate in support and incident rotation, using data and feedback to continuously improve the platform.

Required profile

• Approximately 8 years of experience designing and building complex backend systems.
• Strong hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines at scale.
• Proficiency in Python for building platform services and automation.
• Experience using Agentic AI as a development partner and implementing safety nets.
• Familiarity with cloud‑native environments and distributed systems.
