Stress Engineer for Eurodrone and UAVs

About the role

We are looking for a Stress Engineer to support Eurodrone and UAV programmes within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, Spain. The role involves performing stress analysis of metallic, composite and hybrid structures from concept through certification and in‑service support.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct stress analysis of structural parts, components and installations using Airbus methods.
• Size structural components from a static point of view and generate strength margins or reserve factors.
• Perform detailed FEM analyses and validate results against Airbus sizing processes.
• Collaborate with design and multifunctional teams throughout the development cycle.
• Provide analysis support for testing, verification, validation and repair of damaged structures.
• Document analysis reports and statements required for flight clearance and certification.

Required profile

• University degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in structural analysis of airframe components, metallic and composite structures.
• Fluent English.

Required skills

• Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis.
• CAD/CAM tools for structural modelling.
• Static calculation of metallic and composite structures according to Airbus methods.
