Structural Dynamics & Aeroelasticity Engineer (Military Derivatives)

About the role

We are looking for a Structural Dynamics and Aeroelasticity Engineer to join Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe. The role focuses on analysing and guaranteeing the structural integrity of aerospace products under dynamic and aeroelastic loads, particularly for military‑derived programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed aeroelastic and structural dynamics analyses for aircraft and spacecraft components.
• Develop and validate numerical models to predict flutter, divergence and related phenomena.
• Conduct loads analyses to define critical design conditions.
• Use simulation tools such as Nastran/Patran and Matlab/Simulink for advanced investigations.
• Automate analysis workflows and post‑processing with Python scripts.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations in English.
• Collaborate with design, stress and testing teams and interpret ground/flight test data.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of methods and results.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or related engineering.
• Proven experience in aeroelasticity and structural dynamics analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Advanced written and spoken English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Nastran/Patran for finite‑element analysis.
• Matlab and Simulink for modelling and simulation.
• Python programming for scripting and automation.
• Loads analysis methodologies.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
