Structural Dynamics and Aeroelasticity Engineer

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Structural Dynamics and Aeroelasticity Engineer to join its Getafe (Madrid) team. You will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of aerospace products under dynamic and aeroelastic loads, supporting both aircraft and spacecraft programs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed aeroelastic and structural dynamics analyses for various components.
• Develop and validate numerical models to predict flutter, divergence, and related phenomena.
• Conduct loads analyses to identify critical design conditions.
• Use simulation tools such as Nastran/Patran and Matlab/Simulink for advanced investigations.
• Automate analysis workflows and post‑processing with Python scripts.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations in English.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including design, stress, and testing engineers.
• Interpret flight‑test data related to structural dynamics and aeroelasticity.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in aeroelasticity and structural dynamics analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Nastran/Patran for finite‑element analysis.
• Matlab and Simulink for modeling and simulation.
• Python for scripting and automation.
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
