Test Engineer – Flight Physics

About the role

Airbus Defense & Space is looking for a Test Engineer to join the Integration Test & Analysis – Flight Physics team in Getafe, Spain. You will support the development and validation of aircraft flight physics through ground and flight testing, ensuring high‑quality data for engineering decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Challenge and harmonise test orders in line with the overall test strategy.
• Define test methods, means and measurement plans for both ground and flight tests.
• Write test procedures, test cases and manage telemetry‑room operations for real‑time analysis.
• Validate measurements, report problems and share results with design teams.
• Contribute to the flight‑test programme, experimental flight approval and the evolution of test means and processes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in at least one flight‑physics area such as aerodynamics, handling qualities or aircraft performance.
• Fluency in English and the ability to work in an international, collaborative environment.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• MATLAB programming.
