Test Engineer (Human Factors)

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Test Engineer specialised in Human Factors to join the Integration Test & Analysis team at its Getafe site in Spain. The role supports human‑factors test activities for avionics and mission‑system programmes across simulators, laboratory rigs and aircraft ground‑ and flight‑tests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, support, execute, analyse and report human‑factors test campaigns at subsystem, system and aircraft level.
• Collaborate with the Integrated Test Team, design offices and test‑centre domains to ensure test requirements are met.
• Develop and review test plans, test requests and verification‑validation (V&V) strategies.
• Track test progress, support certification, qualification and production activities.
• Provide technical coordination for test activities that may take place at other sites such as Seville, Manching or Air Force bases.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with solid testing competence.
• Experience in human‑factors testing within avionics or mission‑systems environments.
• Comfortable working in a technically complex, multi‑program setting and able to travel when required.
