Business Information Security Officer

About the role

Join a leading multinational company operating critical infrastructure and energy logistics (oil & gas) as the Business Information Security Officer (BISO). Reporting directly to the CISO, you will be the primary cybersecurity representative for a key business area, ensuring alignment between global security strategy and operational needs across an international, multi‑site environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main cybersecurity point of contact, driving implementation of corporate security policies, standards and strategy.
• Identify, assess and manage cybersecurity risks, coordinate remediation plans and ensure control effectiveness.
• Lead and coordinate cybersecurity programmes, aligning execution with business priorities.
• Collaborate with Business, IT, Operations, Compliance and Legal teams to embed security into strategic projects and transformations.
• Participate in audits, compliance reviews and governance forums, delivering executive reporting on risks and controls.
• Oversee third‑party security risk, ensuring external providers meet organisational security requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of security capabilities, operating models and roadmaps.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity governance, risk & compliance, business information security, risk management, audits and senior stakeholder engagement.
• Experience working in international, multi‑site, highly regulated environments.
