Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Madrid team, supporting the development of railway, energy transmission and industrial machinery projects. The role involves providing technical assistance from sales proposals through to production and customer acceptance.

Key responsibilities

• Offer technical support during sales and proposal phases, reviewing tender documents against specifications and company standards.
• Participate in project kick‑off meetings with internal teams and customers, and coordinate site surveys, including international travel when required.
• Develop complete mechanical engineering designs and detailed manufacturing documentation for assigned projects.
• Support production with engineering guidance, functional testing and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as needed.
• Assist the Project Manager in customer reviews, approvals and technical responses to inquiries.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in energy transmission, distribution or special‑purpose industrial machinery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Fluent English; additional languages such as Spanish, French, German or Portuguese are a plus.
• Willingness to travel and ability to work autonomously within a team.
