Payroll Analyst – End-to-End Payroll Processing

About the role

The Payroll Analyst II is responsible for accurate, timely and confidential end‑to‑end payroll processing using the HRPlus system. Working closely with internal customers, the analyst ensures all payroll data is complete, authorized and processed within established deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Process the company’s payroll end‑to‑end in HRPlus, ensuring accurate employee payments.
• Maintain the payroll calendar and meet all submission, validation and approval deadlines.
• Validate payroll data for new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions and salary changes.
• Process regular earnings, overtime, allowances, bonuses, retroactive payments and statutory deductions (PAYE, National Insurance, Health Surcharge, benefit contributions, loan repayments).
• Import, review and reconcile time‑and‑attendance data.
• Conduct pre‑payroll audits to identify and correct discrepancies.
• Prepare payroll registers, bank payment files and statutory payroll schedules.
• Perform post‑payroll validation and reconcile payroll registers with general‑ledger accounts.
• Maintain up‑to‑date employee payroll records in HRPlus.
• Respond to employee payroll queries and support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Experience with end‑to‑end payroll processing and confidential data handling.
• Familiarity with statutory payroll deductions such as PAYE, National Insurance and Health Surcharge.
• Ability to conduct detailed payroll audits and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
