A330 MRTT B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance Technician

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an experienced A330 MRTT B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join the Final Assembly Line team in Getafe, Madrid. The role involves both base and line maintenance, preparation for flight, and support for ground and flight test campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, perform and certify base and line maintenance as a B1‑certifying staff member.
• Execute aircraft preparation for flight using the Test Preparation Sheet issued by FlightOps.
• Carry out production work to ready the aircraft for ground tests, supervised by FAL‑Quality.
• Perform retrofit mechanical works and tests according to service bulletins or job cards.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and fix aircraft discrepancies.
• Support delivery and test campaigns at customer sites abroad, including implementation of Service Bulletins and aircraft conversion tasks.
• Provide assistance to A330 MRTT and A310 DEMO programmes when required.

Required profile

• EASA Part 66 Category B1 aircraft maintenance licence for Airbus A330 (RR Trent 700 & GE CF6) without limitations (mandatory).
• Preferably also hold a valid EASA Part 66 Category B2 licence for the A330.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Airbus aircraft maintenance, with at least 2 years on the A330 platform.
• Fluent English and negotiation‑level Spanish.
• Willingness to work abroad on a regular basis.
• National and NATO security clearance highly appreciated.
