A400M Flight Ops Services Engineer

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an A400M Flight Ops Services Engineer to ensure the operational readiness and efficiency of its A400M aircraft fleet. The engineer develops and delivers Flight Operations Services for all A400M customers, supported by a team that includes technical support on flight operations, flight performance and mission planning, and delivery of Aerodata products such as NavDB and terrain databases.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate and deliver new Flight Operations Services for military aircraft customers, on time, on cost and on quality, while supporting sales growth.
• Manage all technical resources (internal and subcontracted work packages) allocated to TASTO Flight Operations Services worldwide.
• Deliver the OTQC services contracted by customers, such as resolving customer queries and delivering products.
• Collaborate with internal departments (Service Programme Managers, Procurement, Legal, Design Offices, other Airbus SAS departments) to define and operate the services.
• Develop and run Project Management Plans, setting tasks, budgets and timescales, and tracking project KPIs.
• Balance cost and quality, identify programme risks and implement risk mitigation plans.
• Manage external providers (Boeing-Jeppesen, Airbus Navblue, Honeywell, Rockwell Collins, Thales, General Electric, etc.) and lead customer relations on services, products and offers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in project management in TAS or a similar organisation.
• Strong understanding of the Airbus organisation.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally for customer support, training and operational engagements.
• Experience with A400M aircraft or similar military transport aircraft is a significant advantage.
