Avionics & Mission Integration Test Engineer (Lab/Rig)

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Test Specialist focused on Avionics and Mission Systems within its Integration Test & Analysis scope, based in Getafe. The role covers preparation, support, execution, analysis and reporting of integration tests on sub-system and system level, from development through to certification and qualification. Depending on program workload, short-to-mid term support may be needed at other sites such as Manching.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and assess test requirements to define integrated test procedures and test plans, then execute them and analyse and report results.
• Support project coordinators and test specialists in preparing and executing ground integration tests on aircraft, supporting flight tests and producing reports and data analysis.
• Contribute to the Integrated Test Team forum and follow up test progress.
• Take part in test planning, review and challenge test requests, and ensure the V&V strategy for lab/rig testing.
• Interface with design offices, certification authorities and certification bodies, write certification and qualification cards, test plans and reports, and support certification meetings.
• Coordinate with test integrators, design offices, chief engineering and program offices, and provide expertise on avionics and mission system architecture.
• Track and analyse system misbehaviours and share their impact with designers, and optimise test data analysis methods.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in integration testing (lab/rig level) of AVS/mission systems.
• Knowledge of the integration and test route map.
• Ability to coordinate technically across test centre domains and design offices.
• English and Spanish at technical negotiation level; NATO SECRET security clearance valued.
• Willingness to travel and work in several locations.
