AI Engineer / Full Stack Developer – AI Reporting & Insights

About the role

Mondelēz Digital Services is hiring Full Stack AI Engineers to join a growing engineering team building a new AI-powered insights platform. The team works across full stack development, AI/ML engineering and data engineering, and each engineer specialises in one or more of these areas. The platform turns raw market data into decision-ready recommendations for stakeholders across global, regional and local teams. The role is based in Barcelona.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain data pipelines that ingest, transform and serve market and business data using Python, Databricks (Delta Lake, Spark) and AWS services.
• Develop and deploy AI/ML models and LLM-based workflows, including RAG, prompt engineering and agent orchestration with frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph.
• Build and ship full stack applications (APIs, backend services and front-end interfaces) that surface AI-generated insights to business users, using Python, React/Next.js and cloud-native services.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting for pipelines, models and applications.
• Work with Product, Data Science and Business stakeholders to turn requirements into technical designs, user stories and working software.
• Contribute to platform architecture decisions, including infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), containerisation (Docker) and CI/CD.
• Write clean, tested, documented code, take part in code reviews, sprint ceremonies and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Python and experience building production-grade applications or pipelines.
• Experience in full stack development, AI/ML engineering or data engineering, with a willingness to broaden across the others.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS, and familiarity with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog).
• Exposure to LLMs and generative AI, such as model integration, RAG pipelines or agent-based architectures.
• Familiarity with modern web frameworks (React, Next.js) and API design (REST, GraphQL).
• Understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT and structured and unstructured data at scale.
• Good communication skills and intellectual curiosity, with a bias for learning.

Required skills

• Version control (Git), testing, CI/CD, Docker and Terraform
• Nice to have: agent orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI), MLflow, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, NLP or multimodal AI, security best practices, and prior experience in CPG/FMCG or with syndicated market data (Nielsen, Circana/IRI, Kantar)
