Lead Workplace Engineer - Microsoft 365

About the role

Swiss Re is looking for a Lead Workplace Engineer in its Digital Workplace team in Madrid. You will co-lead the strategy, adoption and delivery of intelligent Digital Workplace capabilities centred on Microsoft 365, Workplace AI assistants, agents and automation, shaping the digital experience for over 14,000 employees while meeting security, compliance, regulatory and governance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and deploy new Microsoft 365 and AI-augmented capabilities aligned with business needs
• Lead design and implementation of Microsoft 365 capabilities and security, governance and compliance controls
• Deliver initiatives such as platform modernisation and migration, turning technology into measurable business value
• Stay engaged with vendors and internal stakeholders and adapt to fast developments in the Digital Workplace space
• Work hands-on with Microsoft 365, Azure workloads and modern scripting and development platforms
• Use data platforms such as MS Power Platform and Palantir Foundry to inform workplace decisions and visualisations
• Share knowledge across teams and keep controls and procedures improving

Required profile

• Self-starter with a hands-on, end-to-end approach, adaptable and curious, comfortable challenging the status quo
• Track record of delivery in complex, fast-paced environments
• Fluent English with excellent communication skills
• Nice to have: experience in a global enterprise, preferably insurance or financial services; familiarity with regulatory, governance and risk management frameworks; agile SCRUM experience

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365, including security, governance and compliance
• Advanced automation and scripting, including DevOps and CI/CD
• Enterprise AI platforms such as Copilot or ChatGPT Enterprise
• Data analytics and visualisation with Power Platform and Palantir Foundry
• Azure cloud, networking, identity and access management, and provisioning, authorisation and authentication

What we offer

• Base salary in Spain of EUR 60,000 to EUR 100,000 depending on profile and experience
• Possible performance-based annual bonus
• Hybrid model with at least 50% office presence
