AI Lab - ML and Data Science

About the role

Abi is a global virtual care platform giving patients on-demand access to healthcare professionals in 40 countries. Its AI Lab is looking for Data Science / Machine Learning professionals to build and improve the AI/ML solutions and infrastructure behind its products. The role is full-time, with work done remotely and/or on site in Barcelona, and pays EUR 45,000-55,000.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and evolution of AI-based features, keeping models robust and scalable in a fast-growing global environment
• Coach and support more junior colleagues in the AI Lab
• Depending on project needs: study and transform data science prototypes
• Design, train and retrain machine learning systems
• Research and implement ML algorithms and tools, extend ML libraries and frameworks, select datasets and run ML tests and experiments

Required profile

• Full-time availability, working remotely and/or in the Barcelona office
• Resident of Spain, Ireland or the UK
• Strong knowledge of ML algorithms, statistics and software development
• Comfortable working independently and in an international environment

Required skills

• Familiarity with ML frameworks such as Keras or PyTorch and libraries such as scikit-learn
• Cloud experience (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML or Google Cloud ML)
• Professional-level English
