AI Use Case Portfolio Manager

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an AI Use Case Portfolio Manager to join its Artificial Intelligence and Analytics department in Digital, based in Getafe (Madrid). The role designs the framework that identifies, prioritizes and scales high-impact AI initiatives across the enterprise, linking business units, Data Science teams and executive leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the AI use case portfolio from ideation to deployment and value realization, including intake, evaluation, approval and governance
• Develop prioritization methods based on business value, strategic alignment, technical feasibility, AI maturity, resources, complexity and risk
• Support the AI use case roadmap, monitor portfolio health, risks, dependencies and investment allocation, and consolidate duplicate initiatives
• Develop standardized business cases, define KPIs and value realization frameworks, and track outcomes such as cost reduction, productivity, cycle time, revenue enablement, quality and risk improvement
• Produce executive dashboards showing portfolio performance and ROI, and adjust the portfolio against expected benefits
• Set up and run the AI governance framework, ensure compliance with Airbus standards, Responsible AI principles and regulations, and perform risk assessments and classification under the EU AI Act
• Act as the main governance contact during internal audits and external regulatory reviews
• Run discovery workshops with business stakeholders, turn challenges into AI use cases, and support AI Product Managers in defining roadmaps

Required profile

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience in Product Management, Portfolio Management or Business Analysis in a high-tech or highly regulated industrial environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders from engineers to executives

Required skills

• Understanding of the AI lifecycle (MLOps), Generative AI and different AI modelling approaches
• Familiarity with the EU AI Act and Responsible/Ethical AI frameworks is highly desirable
• Proactive use of Generative AI and agentic workflows in daily work
