Area Sales Manager - Robotics, East Spain

About the role

Stäubli, a global industrial and mechatronics solution provider founded in 1892, is hiring an Area Sales Manager for its Robotics division, covering Spain and Portugal. The role sits within the Southwest Europe Robotics Team, reports to the section manager and focuses on selling all Stäubli robots to end customers, integrators, OEM manufacturers and partners. It is a permanent position with an office in the industrial area of Sant Quirze del Vallès.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and implement sales strategies and prioritise key client objectives
• Build networks of integrators and OEM equipment manufacturers
• Conduct commercial and financial negotiations and prepare offers
• Represent the company at trade fairs and congresses
• Monitor projects, sales forecasts and business activity, and report regularly to the manager
• Manage customers and achieve set objectives on visits, opportunities, turnover and margin
• Take part in onboarding new employees and in continuous improvement

Required profile

• Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of sales experience in the robotics industry
• Experience in direct sales to end users or distributors, ideally with a value-added approach
• Account management and new customer development
• Valid EU B1 driving licence and residence and work permit in Spain
• Spanish and English at negotiation level
• Willingness to travel across Spain and to the Southwest Europe region, about 30% of the time

Working conditions

• Approximately 80% of working time at client sites and 20% in the office
• National and international travel, around 30% of the time
• On-site position in Sant Quirze del Vallès
