Armament Integration Engineer

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an Armament Integration Engineer in Getafe (Madrid). The role defines requirements and documentation for integrating armament into aircraft systems, including Future Combat Air Systems and other programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Define requirements for armament integration in Future Combat Air Systems and other programmes, at system, subsystem or equipment level.
• Define Armament Control and Carriage Systems design requirements.
• Perform impact analysis for integrating new armament into a combat platform.
• Prepare and assess technical documentation, generate the Weapons to Aircraft Interface Control Document and prepare safety documentation.
• Generate the Preliminary Hazard Analysis.
• Identify the development life-cycle activities needed to build a system or product with the required confidence level.
• Support low observability activities related to weapons and stores integration.
• Define checkpoints and reviews with maturity expectations aligned to programme phases and gates.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in aircraft systems integration.
• Experience in armament carriage equipment integration is a plus.
• Advanced level of English.
• High adaptability to new topics, new business and networked work.
