Assistant Engineering Manager - Four Seasons Hotel Madrid

About the role

Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is looking for an Assistant Engineering Manager to oversee the daily maintenance and repair operations of the hotel. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role keeps guest rooms, public areas, the Powerhouse, the RO plant and the STP in optimal condition, maintaining the high standards of quality and functionality that Four Seasons is known for.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all engineering works needed to keep the property safe and comfortable for guests and employees.
• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Engineering department, ensuring 24-hour manning of the property.
• Build strong working relationships with contractors and suppliers who provide reliable 24-hour emergency service when needed.
• Make sure work orders are executed properly and followed up until completed.
• Purchase equipment, replacement parts and repairs, maintain stock levels and liaise with vendors and suppliers.
• Work closely with Housekeeping to keep guest rooms to the highest standard.

Required profile

• Proven engineering experience, preferably in a large hotel delivering five-star quality.
• Mechanical and electrical experience is required.
• Ability to build relationships with people at all levels, including contractors, suppliers, guests and employees.
• Passion for a great guest experience and an impeccable product.

• Solid verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.

This is a full-time position, primarily during regular weekday business hours, with occasional weekend and public holiday work depending on operational needs.
