Lead Therapist - Spa

About the role

The Lead Therapist at Four Seasons Hotel Madrid reports to the Spa Director and maintains treatment protocols, drives service quality and supports daily operational and administrative needs. The role includes training and mentoring colleagues, overseeing facial and skincare programs, supervising the aesthetics and therapist team and delivering advanced skincare treatments, while contributing to financial, operational and service excellence goals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalized, high-quality facial, massage and body treatments and aesthetic services, keeping up to date with skincare techniques, products and trends
• Promote retail products and educate guests on personalized skincare routines
• Supervise and mentor a team of aestheticians and therapists, conduct regular training and evaluate staff against service protocols
• Develop team schedules and prepare development plans so therapists achieve treatment certifications
• Oversee inventory of professional supplies and retail products, place purchase orders with the Spa Lead Receptionist, and run regular spa walkthroughs
• Act as a point of contact for guest feedback and recommend new treatments and services

Required profile

• National certification or license as an Aesthetician
• At least 3-5 years of experience as an aesthetician, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role in a luxury spa
• Fluency in English and Spanish
• Availability to travel yearly for training purposes

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of skincare techniques, ingredients and industry trends
• Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail and ability to multitask

This is a full-time position, possibly on a rotating shift basis covering morning and evening shifts, including weekends.
