Associate Applied (AI) Value Engineer (Benelux) - Orbit Program

About the role

Celonis is looking for an Associate Applied (AI) Value Engineer for its Orbit Graduate program, based in Madrid for a 2-year onboarding period with possible relocation to Amsterdam afterwards. The customer base is in the Benelux region, involving travel to meet clients in person. You will join the Global Value Engineering Center of Excellence, an international team supporting local field teams, and act as a trusted advisor to strategic customers on the intersection of technology and business.

Key responsibilities

• Understand customers' AI strategy and business-critical challenges, and turn their requirements into solutions using Celonis Process Intelligence combined with AI and ML partners such as Microsoft, OpenAI and Databricks
• Prototype solutions in customer hackathons and deliver Proof-of-Value projects, then present their value to senior executives
• Support customers in moving from rule-based automation to autonomous AI agents, and stay involved until agreed value and adoption thresholds are reached
• Specialize in domains or industries (e.g. supply chain) and contribute reusable collateral, best practices and tools to the Center of Excellence

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Data Analytics/Science, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related STEM field with excellent academic performance
• Extensive internship experience or 1-2 years of full-time work experience, ideally at the intersection of business and technology
• Fluency in English and Dutch
• Bonus points: customer-facing, customer success or sales experience, hands-on proof-of-concept or agentic system experience, supply chain process experience, ERP experience (SAP/Oracle)

Required skills

• Generative AI concepts such as RAG, few-shot learning, prompt/context engineering, multi-agent orchestration and fine-tuning
• Python and common ML libraries (LangChain, pandas, pydantic, sklearn, PyTorch)
• Data engineering tools and technologies
