Associate Applied (AI) Value Engineer (DACH) - Orbit Program

About the role

Celonis is looking for an Associate Applied (AI) Value Engineer for its Orbit Graduate program, based in Madrid for a 2-year onboarding period with possible relocation to Munich afterwards. The customer base is in Germany/DACH, involving travel to meet clients in person. You will join the Global Value Engineering Center of Excellence, an international team supporting local field teams, and act as a trusted advisor to strategic customers on the intersection of technology and business.

Key responsibilities

• Understand customers' AI strategy and business-critical challenges, and turn their requirements into solutions using Celonis Process Intelligence combined with AI and ML partners such as Microsoft, OpenAI and Databricks
• Prototype solutions in customer hackathons and run end-to-end Proof-of-Value projects
• Build and code within the Celonis platform (SQL, PQL and Python)
• Deliver presentations and demos to senior executives and manage customer accounts
• Specialize in domains or industries such as supply chain
• Create reusable collateral, best practices and tools for the global center of excellence

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Data Analytics/Science, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related STEM field with excellent academic performance
• Extensive internship experience or 1-2 years of full-time work experience, ideally at the intersection of business and technology
• Fluency in German and English (mandatory); Italian is a strong plus
• Foundational business acumen, e.g. in supply chain

Required skills

• Generative AI concepts such as RAG, few-shot learning, prompt/context engineering, multi-agent orchestration and fine-tuning
• Python and common ML libraries (LangChain, pandas, pydantic, sklearn, PyTorch)
• Data engineering tools and technologies
