Associate Director, Study Operations, Rater Services (Spain)

About the role

IQVIA is looking for an Associate Director for Study Operations, Rater Services in Spain. The role acts as Principal (or Person in Charge) for Cronos projects, providing overall leadership and accountability for project initiation, execution and closeout, while managing a team of Project Managers and Project Manager Analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Project Managers and Project Manager Analysts, allocating resources and balancing workloads across multiple projects.
• Oversee project governance, ensuring compliance with Cronos and IQVIA policies, SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate project governance reviews, risk assessments and issue escalation processes, and act as the main contact for senior management on project status and risks.
• Ensure timely completion of deliverables, including financial reconciliation, documentation and archiving.
• Provide operational consultation on the Cronos service offering, drive process improvement and represent Cronos Study Operations in cross-functional initiatives and strategic planning.
• Support business development activities such as proposal development and client presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in clinical research, project management or study operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in project governance, process improvement and team management.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of project governance, risk management and compliance in a clinical research environment.
• Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet, SAP and SharePoint preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication, stakeholder influence and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
