Automation Tester (m/f/d)

About the role

T-Systems Iberia is hiring an automation tester in Madrid for a project developing and operating monitoring and data analytics tools for the Network Control Platform of Deutsche Telekom Germany (AAA Fixed Net Germany). The project controls internet access and manages the underlying network infrastructure for millions of concurrent users, supporting AAA authentication, authorization and accounting, dynamic service provisioning and all-IP services such as MagentaTV and IP telephony.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and validate software releases through structured testing.
• Develop and improve test automation frameworks.
• Maintain and evolve CI/CD pipelines and test environments, and operate and support test systems including software deployments.
• Design, run and document platform-level test cases, including reporting for formal acceptance, and extend coverage for new features.
• Integrate solutions into the Deutsche Telekom test framework and ensure proper documentation in internal tools.
• Troubleshoot and support stakeholders during testing and rollout phases.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of IP network infrastructure and advanced Linux expertise.
• Experience with software testing methodologies (manual and automated) and strong understanding of requirements and specifications.
• Teamwork, communication and initiative, with flexibility to work night shifts and on-call duties.
• English at minimum B2 level.

Required skills

• IP protocols (Radius, Diameter, SIP, SOAP) and cloud technologies (containers, Kubernetes, Docker).
• Databases (Redis, SQL) and testing tools (Jira, Robot Framework).
• CI/CD toolchain (Git, Ansible, Cucumber, Flux, Argo).
• Basic programming (Java, Python, JavaScript) is an advantage; AI-supported testing tools are a plus.
