Avionics Engineer

About the role

Airbus is seeking an Avionics Engineer to lead the definition, development, and integration of centralized and recording avionics systems. You will work across the full product lifecycle, from early concept through serial production and in‑service support, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and certification requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse operational requirements and define avionics system architecture.
• Specify functional and equipment requirements, and generate design documentation such as interface control documents, test protocols, and requirements specifications.
• Perform equipment engineering tasks, including manufacturer and qualification monitoring.
• Lead integration, validation, and verification activities for avionics subsystems.
• Contribute to safety, security, certification, and qualification analyses.
• Support service activities and define development life‑cycle checkpoints aligned with program phases.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and other disciplines throughout the product lifecycle.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering (e.g., Aerospace, Electrical, or related fields).
• Proven experience in systems engineering within the avionics domain.
• Advanced proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus.
