About the role

Barcelo Hotel Group is looking for a motivated Kitchen Assistant to join the culinary team at Barceló Lanzarote Mar. You will work in a dynamic hotel kitchen, supporting chefs and ensuring smooth daily operations while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food quality.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the kitchen in optimal hygiene and order.
• Clean, peel and cut vegetables.
• Mix ingredients for various dishes.
• Pluck poultry and prepare meat.
• Scale and fillet fish.
• Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean.
• Assist in preserving raw materials and kitchen products.

Required profile

• Medium‑level vocational training in Cooking and Gastronomy, with an APPCC/HACCP course.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar kitchen role.
• No language requirement.
• Knowledge of the hospitality sector is valued.
• Ability to work under stress, attention to detail, teamwork, flexibility and quick execution.

Required skills

• HACCP (food safety) knowledge.
