About the role

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join the Barceló Costa Ballena hotel in Cádiz. The successful candidate will support the culinary team in daily food preparation and maintain high standards of hygiene and organization in a busy hotel kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the kitchen in optimal hygiene and order.
• Clean, peel and cut vegetables.
• Mix ingredients for various dishes.
• Prepare poultry by removing feathers.
• Chop meat and scale fish.
• Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean.
• Assist in preserving raw materials and kitchen products.

Required profile

• Medium‑level culinary training (Ciclo formativo de Grado Medio de Cocina y Gastronomía) and a HACCP course.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar kitchen role.
• No language requirement.
• Hospitality sector knowledge is a plus.

Required skills

• HACCP (food safety) certification
