Clinical Research Lead

About the role

Lilly is looking for a Clinical Research Lead (CRL) based in Alcobendas. The CRL manages clinical sites considered for or participating in Lilly clinical trials for the assigned therapeutic area(s), driving an outstanding clinical trial and patient experience. The role involves site identification and qualification, and requires travel of 50-75%.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify sites, and manage them comprehensively to deliver enrolment readiness, recruitment and enrolment and database locks on time, including performance management and issue resolution
• Keep sites and countries inspection-ready at all times
• Understand local treatment paradigms and standards of care to support feasibility and strategic allocation of trials
• Oversight of site monitoring vendors at site and country level
• Build and maintain relationships with active and potential clinical investigators and with institutions to optimise trial programme delivery across therapeutic areas

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a scientific or health-related field
• At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or clinical research
• Fluent English, spoken and written (C1 advanced)
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage workload and priorities
• Strong knowledge of in-country regulatory guidelines and requirements
