Global Head of Network

About the role

Cigna Healthcare is looking for a Global Head of Network for its international health business (IHDS). The role leads end-to-end provider network strategy, contracting and performance management across the Health segment, establishing a single enterprise-led network model that optimizes cost, access, quality and provider performance. It reports directly to the Chief Health Officer and sits in the Health Organization Leadership Team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver a multi-year global provider network strategy, review it periodically across regions and functions, and monitor pricing trends, regulation and competition
• Identify strategic network partnerships (hospital groups, Centres of Excellence, value-based providers) and partner with Finance and Medical Economics on cost drivers and forecasting
• Set global contracting standards and lead negotiations for strategic provider partnerships, driving value-based contracting models
• Implement network segmentation and performance frameworks covering cost, quality and access, and oversee provider performance monitoring
• Integrate clinical, operational and payment integrity insights into network optimization, and report progress to Strategy & Transformation
• Embed network strategy into product design, care models and clinical programs, and influence enterprise investment decisions
• Lead global network governance, track cost containment, quality and access outcomes, and deliver executive-level reporting

Required profile

• Master's degree in Business, Healthcare Management or a related field (MBA preferred)
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in provider networks, contracting and healthcare operations
• Extensive experience in international health insurance and multi-market provider network management
• Proven track record in large-scale network transformation and cost optimization
• Experience leading multicultural, multi-location teams in a global environment

Required skills

• Deep expertise in provider contracting, pricing and partnership models
• Strong understanding of clinical operations, payment integrity and healthcare economics
• Financial acumen with demonstrated ability to drive ROI and cost savings
• Exceptional communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills; several languages preferred
