Cocinero/a – Santa Cruz Contemporaneo

About the role

Barceló Hotel Group is looking for a motivated Cook to join the kitchen team at its contemporary property in Santa Cruz. You will work under the Head Chef to deliver high‑quality dishes while supporting the overall efficiency of the kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all recipes according to the technical sheets of the established menu rotation.
• Ensure smooth kitchen operations and report to the Head Chef.
• Assist with cost control, inventory management and purchasing activities.
• Participate in cleaning, preservation, cooking, regeneration and restocking of food items.
• Support receipt and storage of food supplies following established standards and orders.
• Carry out tasks in compliance with safety, hygiene legislation and internal procedures.

Required profile

• Higher‑level vocational training in Cooking and Gastronomy (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior).
• Completed HACCP (APPCC) course.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar kitchen role.
• No language requirement.
• Preferred knowledge of the hospitality sector.
• Team‑player attitude, creativity, stress tolerance and meticulous work habits.

Required skills

• HACCP (food safety) knowledge.
