Job description

About the role

Our team is responsible for the design, development and support of fuel, inerting and fire protection systems on legacy and next‑generation military platforms such as the A400M, Eurofighter and future FCAS projects. The engineer will work across the full system life‑cycle, from concept definition through certification, testing and in‑service support.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and allocate architecture, functions, requirements and performance levels for fuel, inerting and fire‑protection subsystems using Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Develop hydromechanical, functional, performance and thermal models of system behaviour and individual components.
  • Coordinate with external partners, vendors and internal Airbus groups (Flight Test, Safety, Chief Engineer’s Office, Programs, Airworthiness, Customer Support, Procurement) to specify products and manage deliverables.
  • Prepare documentation for airworthiness certification, qualification and technical reporting.
  • Support test activities, including definition of test requirements, execution support, tracking and reporting for ground and flight tests.
  • Analyse in‑service occurrences, equipment obsolescence and propose mitigation actions.

Required profile

  • Engineering degree (mechanical, aerospace or related).
  • Working knowledge of modelling tools such as Matlab, Simulink, SCADE or Amesim.
  • Demonstrated experience with hydromechanical systems, preferably in aerospace applications.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
