Communication System Designer Engineer – Eurodrone

About the role

Join the Systems Integration Team at Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, working on the Eurodrone programme’s Audio/Voice Communication System. You will be involved in end‑to‑end system design, integration and verification across the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and integration of the Audio/Voice Communication System, from feasibility studies to certification.
• Develop and validate system specifications using Requirement‑Based Engineering (RBE) and Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods.
• Manage technical interfaces with suppliers and customers, and participate in design reviews and programme milestones.
• Define and support integration, verification and validation activities, preparing test requirements for lab, ground and flight tests.
• Support qualification, airworthiness and certification processes, ensuring compliance with ICAO, FAA, EASA and EUROCONTROL standards.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Telecommunications, Aeronautical, Electronics or related field; Master’s in Systems Engineering is a plus.
• Professional experience in systems engineering, system design or integration, preferably in aerospace or defence.
• Strong knowledge of the systems engineering V‑model and requirements management.

Required skills

• Audio/Voice Communication Systems, full‑chain communication and COMSEC.
• RBE and MBSE methodologies, requirements traceability.
• Tools: DOORS, CAMEO, ICDMS, CWE, MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow.
• Agile practices: SCRUM, Jira, Confluence, DeMAT.
• Fluent English (B2/C1) for international collaboration.
