Community Associate

About the role

The Open Home Foundation is seeking a Community Associate based in Europe to energize and grow its community. You will work closely with the Community Manager and the wider Community Department to bring the community to life across Discord, social media, events, and more.

Key responsibilities

• Craft and publish community stories, spotlights, and showcases to highlight member contributions.
• Maintain an active, welcoming presence on Discord, welcome newcomers, answer questions, and organize events such as AMAs and watch parties.
• Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to manage and grow social‑media channels, ensuring content sparks genuine conversation.
• Support the Events Manager with logistics, communication, platform setup, promotion, and post‑event recaps for both online and in‑person gatherings.
• Assist the contributor recognition programme, develop appealing swag ideas, and coordinate timely delivery.
• Produce community‑focused video content such as event recaps, reels, and tutorials (bonus).

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in community, social media, content, or communications roles.
• Proven track record of managing social‑media accounts with real engagement.
• Hands‑on experience with Discord, including server management or moderation.
• Some experience supporting events or conferences.
