Country HR Partner

About the role

HP is looking for a Country HR Partner in Sant Cugat del Valles to act as the main link between HR and the business in the country. The role establishes relationships with key decision-makers, drives HR programs and ensures they fit the business strategy, while applying Spanish labor law and working with Works Councils and employee representatives.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at the top of the business, business unit or function.
• Use business knowledge to drive a wide range of HR programs and proactively engage in strategic business planning where HR has an impact.
• Participate in interactions with Works Councils and employee representatives, supporting the Employee Relations team and ensuring alignment with local labor regulations.
• Apply Spanish labor legislation in day-to-day HR practice and collaborate with legal and ER experts on collective agreements and national labor frameworks.
• Contribute to the change management strategy and manage HR programs within the business or function.
• Represent the business's needs in the country and lead priority projects supporting organization-wide transformation.
• Identify and drive the development of new or improved HR processes, and collaborate with centers of expertise to allocate enough HR resources.

Required profile

• University degree in Law, Labor Relations or a related field; equivalent professional experience in labor law and employee relations is also considered.
• 5-10 years of experience in multiple HR functions and/or a generalist role.
• Typically experience implementing and adapting locally global HR programs.
• Experience partnering with managers to deliver HR solutions is preferred.

• Strong business acumen, project management and process development skills.
• Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including financial analysis.
