Data Analysis Intern - Supply Chain

About the role

HP Barcelona's Services Supply Chain organization runs a Transition Practice that standardizes how new service deals move from sales and solution design into steady-state operations. The internship supports this practice in a data-driven way, helping teams build a scalable operating model. Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Spanish university, stay enrolled until the end of the internship, and be able to sign an internship agreement with their university. Availability starts in February 2027 and continues until June-July 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and continuous improvement of the Transition Practice framework, playbook, process maps, templates and governance materials.
• Collect, structure, clean and connect transition-related data from trackers and operational sources to improve data quality and traceability.
• Help design and maintain dashboards, scorecards and KPI views on transition progress, readiness, risks, milestones and outcomes.
• Analyze process performance and recurring issues, identify improvements and turn findings into clear recommendations and visual insights.
• Support automation and simplification of recurring reporting, data consolidation and workflows with digital tools.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Engineering, Business Analytics, Operations Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering or a related field.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
• Interest in process engineering, operational excellence, data management and performance measurement.

Required skills

• Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools.
• Experience with Excel and Smartsheet is strongly valued; Power BI, Power Query, Python, SQL or automation tools are a plus.
