Data and Analytics Associate Team Leader / Director 2027

About the role

Oliver Wyman's Data and Analytics division, established in 2017 and focused on Europe, is hiring in Madrid. The role centres on managing projects, with Associate Team Leaders and Team Leaders typically handling one project at a time and Directors typically two smaller ones or one large, complex one. About half the time is spent on site with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop hypotheses, manage data collection, model creation and analysis, conduct primary and secondary research, and surface insights while overseeing analysts' work
• Work with partners and the internal network to give technical and senior-level steer to projects
• Work with clients in a team to deliver project deliverables to a high standard
• Maintain the team's energy and work-life balance, and coach Oliver Wyman and client team members to develop their skills

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science or Engineering)
• Associate Team Leader: at least 3 years of experience in specialised consulting firms, top-tier banks or financial institutions
• Team Leader: at least 5 years of such experience
• Director: at least 8 years of such experience
• Excellent command of English, willingness to travel regularly, ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Required skills

• Advanced analytics and data manipulation software such as R, Python, SAS, SQL or SPSS
• Strong analysis, documentation and communication skills
