DevOps Engineer – IMS & Voice AI Support

About the role

T-Systems Iberia, part of the Deutsche Telekom Group, is hiring an experienced DevOps Engineer in Madrid for its Telco Hub, which builds and scales Telco as a Platform on a proprietary layered cloud. The role sits within the Voice & Messaging team, which designs, develops and operates voice and messaging platforms and is bringing voice and messaging applications into the cloud while integrating AI into neighbouring platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Support the project team in the integration, validation, configuration and rollout of software in a DevOps team.
• Support daily evaluation of security scans and open/update tickets with vendors, and take part in regular security meetings with vendors.
• Perform quality assurance testing, rollout and approval for software releases in the lab.
• Plan and carry out validation and rollout in live systems.
• Assist with project-specific activities.

Required profile

• Experience in DevOps environments and automation.
• Proactive mindset, focused on continuous improvement and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn cloud-native/Kubernetes (Cloud Booster) skills if not already present.
• Willingness to take part in on-call duties outside normal working hours if necessary.

Required skills

• General knowledge of DevOps tools such as GitLab and test automation (at least basic).
• Experienced knowledge of Linux.
• Basic IMS knowledge with relevant protocols such as SIP and RTP, and telecommunications industry experience.
• Nice to have: ticketing systems, OS security flaw analysis, ITIL knowledge, and understanding of German.
