DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

T-Systems Iberia is looking for a DevOps Engineer to manage IT applications and systems, acting as the main contact for business stakeholders and key users. The role covers operations, monitoring, documentation, deployments and troubleshooting of the platform and related services, working closely with teams in laboratory and production environments and coordinating with the external vendor HCL. Night shifts are only needed on rare occasions.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, define and implement requirements for system enhancements, including interface integration and optimization
• Analyze systems and develop measures to ensure stability, availability, performance and security
• Provide functional leadership and coordinate internal and external IT service providers, including development and hosting partners
• Contribute to IT budget planning, forecasting and cost control
• Lead projects for new solutions and improvements to existing systems
• Take part in on-call support and incident response

Required profile

• Hands-on expertise with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Strong communication skills to turn business requirements into technical plans
• Ability to run projects using Agile or Scrum
• Experience coordinating external IT service providers while meeting SLAs
• Understanding of ITIL (change and incident management) and cloud cost optimization

Required skills

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and Linux/Windows systems
• API management and deployment automation (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and security practices (IAM, vulnerability scanning)
• Scripting and automation are an advantage but not mandatory
