e-Compliance Business Analyst

About the role

SGS, a global testing, inspection and certification company, is looking for an e-Compliance Business Analyst in Madrid. The analyst acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the successful implementation of electronic invoicing and electronic reporting solutions. The role covers requirement gathering, process analysis, functional specifications, testing support and stakeholder communication.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document statutory requirements and local regulations related to e-compliance, and analyse existing business processes to identify improvements
• Run workshops and present findings to stakeholders
• Create functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria, and document workflows, data flows and integration points with ERP systems, solution providers and government portals
• Work with development teams so requirements are implemented correctly, and support UAT and SIT by preparing test cases
• Monitor post-implementation performance and help with continuous improvement
• Produce reports, dashboards and presentations for business stakeholders
• Advise on e-compliance best practices and emerging trends, and monitor solution partners and local tax authority regulations
• Support service managers with clarifications on functional requests and contribute to demand management and backlog analysis

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree with a relevant background in business, IT or computer science
• Experience managing requirements through the delivery and operational life cycle
• Knowledge of invoicing and e-reporting compliance requirements such as EU VAT and SAF-T

Required skills

• Business analysis frameworks: business process modelling, requirements analysis, user stories and use cases
• Strong understanding of Oracle E-Business Suite (AP, AR, GL modules) or similar ERP systems
