Electrical Wiring Diagrams Specialist

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an Electrical Wiring Diagrams Specialist in its System Installation family, based in the Getafe area. The role turns theoretical electrical information supplied by analysis teams into aircraft wiring diagrams that fit the real aircraft, taking into account the physical location of equipment and the constraints of an aircraft environment. The candidate needs solid hands-on experience and can become productive quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and interpret electrical schematics and requirements prepared by analysis teams.
• Convert theoretical electrical information into wiring diagrams applicable to the aircraft.
• Define how equipment and systems must be electrically connected, considering the actual physical location of equipment.
• Propose electrical solutions when wiring crosses different aircraft areas, for example between pressurised and non-pressurised zones.
• Integrate information from different systems, including avionics and mission systems.
• Work closely with analysis teams and negotiate technical solutions when information is incomplete, changes or differs from expectations.
• Interface with other technical teams and stakeholders, and work in both military and commercial aviation environments when required.
• Support the continuous evolution of the electrical definition throughout aircraft development.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional experience in electrical wiring diagrams within the aeronautical sector.
• Proven hands-on experience developing or working with aircraft wiring diagrams and electrical schematics, from commercial or military aviation.
• Previous experience specifically in the aeronautical sector is required.
• Ability to work with changing or incomplete technical information, strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
• Professional level of English (approximately B2).

Required skills

• Tools such as Simulink and/or CXP for working with electrical schematics.
• Ability to influence and defend proposed solutions with technical stakeholders.
