EMEA Commercial Director – Lead Growth Across Europe

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced EMEA Commercial Director to lead the commercial agenda across Europe (excluding the UK) during a period of transformation. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for driving performance, building capability and delivering long‑term value in key international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead distributor‑led markets in Spain, Germany, Belgium, the Nordics and Eastern Europe, with Spain as a commercial hub.
• Modernise the commercial function, strengthen teams and embed a high‑performance culture.
• Drive growth, improve commercial performance and shape regional strategy.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align commercial initiatives with overall business objectives.

Required profile

• Proven senior commercial leadership experience in beer, spirits, coffee, soft drinks or FMCG.
• Strong expertise managing distributor‑led markets.
• Deep understanding of mainland Europe, particularly Spain.
• Track record of improving commercial performance and developing teams.
• Strong analytical and strategic capabilities.
• Experience in fast‑paced, changing environments.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Private‑equity experience is advantageous.
