End to End QA Engineer

About the role

Merkle, a performance marketing agency within the Dentsu Aegis Network, is hiring an End to End QA Engineer in Barcelona. You will report to the Team Lead and join growing agile teams working for one of Europe's leading telecommunications and media companies. The position is full time, permanent and hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Complete end-to-end and integration tests in a very large system
• Define end-to-end user stories and test scenarios for new features and changes
• Run tests and write test scripts, support other testers and act as peer reviewer for releases
• Understand system business and user journeys and integration endpoints
• Take part in all phases of the development cycle, from analysis to delivery
• Work with developers, project stakeholders and product owners to assess the impact of changes
• Deliver a valuable increment each sprint and contribute to continuous improvement of the team's way of working
• Support client needs and run defect triage meetings

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in software design, computer science or telecommunications engineering
• More than 1 year of experience in QA or quality engineering at a software-driven company
• More than 1 year of experience with QA methodologies and test plans and detailed test cases
• Basic programming notions and basic SQL knowledge
• Business-professional level English, good attention to detail and ability to adapt to a dynamic environment
• Valid EU working permit

Required skills

• Agile (Scrum) and test automation are a plus
• Object-oriented programming basics, BDD and JIRA are a plus
• GitHub basic knowledge is a plus
