Finance Data & BI Developer

About the role

SGS, a global leader in testing, inspection and certification, is looking for a Finance Data & BI Developer to join its Finance Data Delivery Team in Madrid. You will develop and maintain data solutions (back and front end) using Snowflake, DBT, Azure Data Factory and Power BI, focused on data management and analytics within the Finance area. The role suits someone with experience in data ingestion, preparation, modelling and serving, and who can build end-to-end real-time and batch data and BI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement data and BI solutions (pipelines, data marts, reporting and visualization) aligned with SGS data governance, standards and best practices
• Apply Agile methodologies and a CI/CD approach to streamline development
• Develop and maintain data warehouses and data marts, including evolutionary, corrective and adaptive changes
• Take ownership of the activities assigned and collaborate with colleagues across the organization
• Keep up with data trends through events and training, and contribute to improving the SGS Data & BI framework

Required profile

• Degree, Master's or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of professional experience developing and supporting complex cloud business intelligence solutions
• Experience designing, building, delivering and maintaining data solutions, and with ERP, EPM and financial data sources
• Fluent English and Spanish, good communication skills with senior stakeholders, and ability to travel for projects

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Snowflake, DBT, Azure Data Factory and Power BI, including DAX
• Extensive data modeling, especially dimensional modeling and OLAP engines
• Proficiency in SQL
• CI/CD via Azure DevOps, GitHub and Visual Studio
• Technical documentation in DevOps repositories; Jira is a plus
