Finance Trainee Internship

About the role

NBCUniversal, a subsidiary of Comcast Corporation and one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies, is looking for a Finance Trainee intern in Madrid. The role sits close to the local Marketing and Sales departments and covers budget tracking, reporting, expense control and reconciliation.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with local Marketing and Sales departments to keep track of the P&A budget and actual expenses.
• Collaborate on reporting to headquarters, run reports and analyse data using SAP software.
• Assist with month-end and quarter-end processes.
• Review expense reports using the CONCUR tool.
• Supervise invoice accounting.
• Follow up outsourced accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, producing daily reports and analysing KPIs.
• Assist with external, internal, statutory, tax and title audits.
• Reconcile customer and vendor balances.
• Assist with other ad hoc projects.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Economics (a university diploma or certificate will be requested).
• University studies completed within the last three years.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Good track record as a team player, adaptable and able to support business priorities when required.
• Willingness to learn, self-motivated and keen interest in film and the entertainment industry.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to analyse and present financial data.
